On Sunday I was able to get out and down to the park for a run. It was hot and muggy and not my most favorite running weather. My timing wasn't great and to be honest, I was sort of in a mood.
Those days are going to happen.
I got out and did it anyway.
Today, however, the best thing I could do was stick to my diet, mostly. I'm trying to work on eating for satisfying my hunger but I also think I might have found my official carb count that keeps me from gaining weight & helps me to control my PCOS...maybe. We'll see. Because of my activity level I am able to have a bit more on the days when I have a strenuous run, such as yesterday. I think for now I think I am going to stick between 120-140 NET carbs per day. Net means you subtract fiber grams from total carb grams. Therefore if I have 180 carbs but 40 of them are from fiber then I really only ate 140 carbs.
I'm going to try it anyway....
It's been a little crazy lately. With the last wedding on the books done & settling somewhat after our friends memorial, and now we have a house guest again this week.
She is that little black ball of fur that visited us not to long ago. She's very adorable & I'll post pictures later this week but for now, I can tell she misses her humans and it's been hard to get a picture of her.
It has really helped my mood quite a bit. It honestly has been me from reserving a seat at the pity party hotel.
Here are my 10 things today:
1. Two of the estheticians at work needing a face to practice on (I just got a FREE facial)
2. My hands, they help me do my work & have helped me make the food I put in my belly today.
3. Being able to pay all my bills this week.
4. A happy healthy doggie report from the Vet's office today
5. My momma who is coming to see my later today
6. Pinterest for helping me plan healthy frugal meals for the next week
Okay, So I am struggling with 4 more but HEY! There's still a lot of light left in the day.
Stayed tuned this week: I am hoping to find some low carb Independence BBQ ideas for us all this week!
Blessings,
A

It's hard to stay focused on goals when there's so much going on. Something that I have started doing though is counting my blessings.
Being thankful for all the things that go right. When the stress seems overwhelming I immediately think "10 Things that are blessings: Right now"
It can be as easy as being thankful for nail polish, yes that was on my list, or as something as major as Thank you Lord, for my husband, who is my best friend. And even though we might fight sometimes, I appreciate the gift you have given me of having him as my life partner."
