In all honesty, after last Sunday's rained out Duathlon I decided I wanted to take a break from working out. Sometimes I just get in these moods where I'd rather sleep in & rest.
It's important to listen to your body. So I did.
I rested all week. I almost took a FULL week off but I knew I wanted to keep my goals in mind. Gaining strength, managing my PCOS. I know what I have to do to keep it in check...or at least some days I think so. Eat clean, train mean.
I went over board yesterday. I had WAY to much to eat & I had a few glasses of wine. I don't regret it. Not entirely.
Today, I did mostly better. I had a few things I should NOT have eaten. Soy, sugar. Some days you just can't avoid it. I also didn't plan my lunch very well, but now I'll know better for next time.
I had a large task ahead of me today though. I knew I needed to workout, do day 4 of my 30 Day Challenge, and clean my house. (It was bad & it was stinky).
Somehow, I got it all done. I even couldn't find the remote. I swear I looked EVERYWHERE! Under beds, under couches, down stairs, the bathroom...I even thought about checking the dish washer...(I've left my keys in the fridge and in the door before...so the dishwasher wasn't to much of a stretch.) I was so irritated because all I wanted to do was use one of my Jillian Michaels DVDs.
I felt like this was God saying "You think you can workout huh? Well how bad do you want it?"
So I did what I do best...got on Pinterest!
I found this 30 minute total toning low impact workout. (Not all a lot of jumping and popping) I've done it once before and it really does give you quite a workout. I was sweating pretty bad today.
I also haven't worked out in 6 days...lol! So, I was bound to be a tiny rusty!
It is the Total Body Toning Low Impact Cardio Workout (approx 30mins) from Fitness Blender YouTube Channel (FitnessBlender is a youtube channel of 300+ Free Full Length Workout Videos & New Routines-
Body weight workouts, HIIT, strength training, at home cardio, Pilates, kettlebell, yoga, circuit training, low impact, stretching, and more; workout videos for literally every fitness level, including very beginner to incredibly advanced. Go check it out!)
While today's challenge was rather small, compared to the recent trails I have survived in life, it was still a test. I even went on to cook a healthy low glycemic, soy free, dairy free, naturally gluten free dinner. It was delicious. I am just finishing up some of it now (Yes, I know it's late...I need to figure out the after 9pm rule)... (Here's where I found the recipe for tonight's dinner- Grilled Lemon Chicken)
How bad do you want it? What are your goals? How can you come out the other side of a challenge? Of being tested?
Keep going & pushing forward. You can do this. I've got a GREAT post (or rant...depending on how you look at it in store for tomorrow. See you then!)
Blessings,
A

I would say it is in the moderate category of workouts. Maybe watch first before you try it. (I am not a personal trainer and ANY EXERCISE WORKOUT/ROUTINE SHOULD BE APPROVED BY YOUR DOCTOR OR PHYSICIAN FIRST BEFORE STARTING ANY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY)
After I completed my workout I literally turned around and the dang DVD remote controller was sitting on top of the couch. I must have walked past it...6 times!
I thanked Good Saint Anthony-The finder of lost objects and then also realized that I knew I was committed to staying healthy.
In life we are tested to see if what we really want is worth it.
