PLANKMAS UPDATE

Crazy Business. Last night before bed I tried a 1min 30sec plank. My intention was to just see how close I could get to 1min 30secs and to my surprise, I made it all the way up to the mark!

There was some definite huffing and puffing going on but I accomplished it. I said a quick a pray to take my mind off the first 30 seconds. Then I tried switching from one foot to the other, just to keep my mind active. I followed up again today with another 1min 30sec plank. Today was a lot harder because I did the plank following an intense power yoga workout.



Okay...so I thought it was intense.


Either way...this is your encouragement to keep at that plankmas challenge! If you haven't been keeping up just start on today. If you can't reach 1 min 30secs, set a new goal, see how long you can hold it. Work towards 3 minutes. Heck...try it on your knees if you have to.
As Nike says, 'Just Do It'.

I'll firm up my baking plan this weekend as I will probably be baking on Sunday/Monday. Since I don't have any pictures of these recipes yet, I will share my beef stew recipe & photo tonight!

Paleo Beef Stew:
1lb beef stew meat (sprinkled meat with garlic, onion, black pepper, parsley, and sea salt-- feel free to add whatever your favorite seasonings might be.)
1/2 white onion chopped and diced
2 sweet potatoes chopped and diced
4-5 stalks of celery chopped
4-5 tall carrots, shredded and chopped
2 cups beef broth + 2 cups water (I just made sure the liquid came to the top of the food.)
Cook on low for 6-8hrs








It's delicious, and filling. Also makes great left overs.

  3. Goodness gracious. Kudos to you for taking that on. I think if I tried to hold a plank for a minute and a half I would just die. Like, 20 seconds in. Dead.
