Merry Christmas Eve: Monday Motivation

I got to talk with Mrs. America on Saturday. I heard a quote recently, talking about how you can be homesick but with a person. After getting to see her and chat with her over video messenger it filled my spirit with peace.
Mrs. America is a strong woman, who despite her anxiety is a force to be reckoned with. Fighting aback against what is trying to hold her back. She reminded of what running can do for your mental health. Her words inspired me to get my booty off of the couch and move. No matter how slow I would go, I wanted to be outside in what is left of this fall like weather.

.

The weather is promising to be brisk but runner worthy tomorrow. I did pull a muscle in my upper back, but as long as I can loosen it up, I should be able to get out for my 2.5 miler tomorrow. If running isn't your thing, here are some fun workouts to pump you up for sugar cookies and gift exchanges!

You could also workout for 25 minutes, or do 25 intervals of something, or 2.5 minute intervals for 25 minutes, or attempt to get 12 intervals of something into 25 minutes Just something to keep it fun and fresh for you. Also plan out your meals for tomorrow, make sure you get a fat and protein element with every carb you eat. Whether you're eating cookies or candy.

Lastly, if the Holidays are over whelming for you, do not be afraid to carve out just even 5 minutes for yourself. Whether you're with family or friends, if the stress of being with too many people find a place to sit and breath in deeply. I'm relaxing in front of one of my favorite movies, but the 24 insanity begins tonight.

We are rounding out the advent season with Christmas, but did you know that Advent means the arrival of something great. Advent is a time for us to prepare out hearts for the coming of Christ. Christ brought hope with him upon his arrival. If you struggling for whatever reason, if there is darkness in your day, please know that there is still hope. I had to fight back some of the lies over the weekend. The ones telling me I'm not good enough, that I'll never experience the joy of motherhood, that I am worthless.
Any time you can speak life into these lies, they dissipate and melt away. Remind yourself that there is hope and light, and that sometimes these moments are born out of darkness.

Well that's a heavy enough subject for one Monday. Alright every I pray you have a blessed Christmas Eve and a joyous Christmas day!
Blessings
A
